Restarting a project is not the same as resuming a schedule
Context
The project had remained on hold for an extended period before returning at full speed, creating a recovery environment rather than a continuation.
The execution problem
The existing baseline and its assumptions no longer described execution reality — supplier status, design vintage, resources and sequence had all moved.
Approach
Re-planning against current conditions rather than reactivating a historical baseline, followed by contractor coordination and progress control aligned to the revised path.
A project returning from a long hold must be replanned against today's reality, not simply restarted from yesterday's baseline.
